Cut, Copy, Paste Cell Contents in Excel

As in any Windows program, the three commands in Excel 2013 that we often use in our work with formulas, data and calculations are Cut, Copy, and Paste. Any content of a cell or range of cells in Excel worksheet, we can move, Cut or Copy to another cell or to other Excel Worksheets and workbooks. With these three commands is an important and Clipboard which is in fact a historical repository of a number of actions so that some actions we can take advantage of later.

Advanced Options for Cut Copy Paste in Excel

On the Home toolbar, in the Clipboard group commands are buttons for launching Cut or Copy. After activation commands Cut or Copy selected cells or selective area changes appearance, the outer border cells appearing dotted line border. As long as these dotted lines visible activated command refers to the selected cell and can be further use.

Copying Excel 2013 can be made in several ways:

  • Copy the contents of a cell by clicking on the Copy button on the toolbar Home
  • Copy the contents of a cell using the mouse and CTRL key on the keyboard
  • Copy the contents of a cell using shortcut Ctrl+C
  • Copy the contents by right-clicking mouse on the cell

Cut command in Excel (Cut or Move)

Cut or move cells in Excel 2013 can be made in several ways:

  • Cut or move content using the right mouse button on a cell

To open a window to the Clipboard, click the square in the Clipboard group commands on the Home toolbar. Notice the order all the actions of copying and cutting out that I did and Excel 2013 keeps them in its history. With this clipboard can Paste any action that is in the clipboard. Delete all previous actions we do by Clear All button.
